BIOGRAPHY
Composer, professor and music reviewer, he studied piano with Antonieta Rudge, harmony with Savino de Benedictis and composition with Claudio Santoro and Olivier Toni. In Darmstadt, Germany, he studied composition with Henri Pousseur, Pierre Boulez and Karlheinz Stockhausen. He founded and currently directs the New Music Festival, which takes place every year since 1962 in Santos and São Paulo. He gave composition classes at the Universities of Brasília, and Wiscosin, EUA and, since 1980, at the University of São Paulo (USP).
