BIOGRAPHY

Rodrigo Morte is a composer, arranger, cultural manager, music producer and educator. He was the director of the Campinas Municipal Symphonic Orchestra. He’s been commissioned, premiered and recorded by groups such as OSESP, Brussels Philharmonic, Greensboro Symphonic Orchestra, Symphonic Orchestra of Venezuela, Symphonic Orchestra of Minas Gerais, Westchester Jazz Orchestra, Orchestra of the Municipal Theater of São Paulo, among others. He has been the arranger for the Orquestra Jazz Sinfônica Brasil since 1997, where he wrote arrangements for important names in Brazilian music and jazz, such as Rosa Passos, Dave Liebman, Gal Costa, João Bosco, Dori Caymmi, João Donato, Toninho Horta, Regina Carter, Elba Ramalho, Maria Rita , Jane Monheit, Arnaldo Antunes, Lulu Santos, Ed Motta, César Camargo Mariano, Daniela Mercury, Paulinho da Viola, Zimbo Trio and Lenine. He has also collaborated, as an arranger, composer or musical director, in recordings by João Donato, Roberto Menescal, Lupa Santiago, Jazzmin’s Big Band, Nestor Torres, Zimbo Trio, Jazz Symphonic Orchestra Brazil, Toninho Ferragutti, SoundSacpe Big Band, Estevão Queiroga, Daniel, Roberta Miranda and more.
